Il est habituel chez Luc que les moments décisifs du ministère de Jésus soient précédés par des moments de prière. Cette fois-ci Jésus demande à ses disciples sur son identité, il les oblige ainsi à prendre une posture publique ; cet intérêt soudain de Jésus à l'opinion publique contraste avec son désintéressement habituel à ce que les autres puissent penser de lui : Il veut que les siens se sentent questionnés par lui doublement : Parce que c'est lui qui leur demande et leur demande sur sa personne. Obtenue une réponse, moyennement satisfaisante, il peut se présenter comme il veut être compris. Et après la confession de Pierre, il leur annonce qu'il doit mourir pour être ce qu'ils disent qu’il est, Aucun disciple ne comptait avec ceci, ces disciples qui toujours risquaient d'imaginer leur Seigneur comme mieux les arrangeait, comme c’était plus logique pour eux-mêmes. Celui qui ressente le désir de le suivre doit savoir qu'il ne s’en sortira pas épargné : Il y a une croix qui l‘attend. La scène annonce la route que Jésus pense parcourir et indique, bien clairement, celle que devra parcourir le disciple qui veuille lui rester fidèle : Le fidèle doit partager la prière et l’intimité avec Jésus pour le connaître vraiment ; mais celui-ci devra accepter la croix de Jésus et la propre croix, pour atteindre la certitude de l'avoir connu personnellement.

we are in the general house. It's not just another feastday.
It's about a LIFE relation with Jesus, who embraces all! Really all!

Just in these days we are preparing the Salesian Mission Day 2014
about the Salesian commitment for Migrants in Europe.
It's amazing, how many people, even Salesians do not accept
the 'others' coming from Africa, Asia, America or even from other
parts of Europe. I'm shocked by the exclusive mentality of many.
Really a need to be deeply evangelized!

The motto of the 2014 Salesian Mission Day help us to widen our vision, to open our hearts - according the model of Jesus! The SONG, produced in Italy 22 years ago is a good chance to pray tomorrow on the Sacred
Heart of Jesus feastday!
