The best Christmas gift! How grateful we are for the Love of God, for His coming amongst us as a Babe in the poverty of Bethlehem!

For sure, Jesus is the best gift, also 2000 years later.
The only need is to kneel down, adore, give thanks and be surprised again by his closeness to us also today.

Yes, also many materials gifts are given and received during this time.
Hundreds of postcards and thousands of Emails are flying all over the world. But not only...

Especially this Christmas there are some Salesian provinces who are receiving a special Christmas gift - no cash, no cards, no material thing - but a living missionary, a new confrere coming from far away!

Oltre a farle gli auguri di una Santo Natale e buon inizio del 2012 volevo ringraziarla a nome mio personale e di tutta la comunità religiosa e pastorale di Sampierdarena per il grande dono del confratello Don Daniel. Siamo certi che con lui potremo portare avanti tutta la pastorale con i nostri amici latino americani e contemporaneamente con gli amici italiani. On the 27 December the gift is coming to Thai Province!

I send you my Best Wishes of a Merry X'mas and a Happy New Year to you
and to all the persons under your fatherly care, accompanied by my prayer for you and all the may persons under your fatherly care.
We are waiting to welcome Fr. Vincent who will arrive here on December 27 and we will try to help in all what he needs to prepare himself to learn the language and to prepare for his work in our on Bosco Center in L.

On the 29th December the gift(s) is coming to Brasile-Manaus Province!

After a long waiting and many frustrations finally two young Vietnamese missionaries (received the missionary crucifix from the Rector Major in September 2010) are arriving to the Amazon missionary province - Br. John Baptist and Joseph! Thanks be to God for their patience!

On the 9th December the gift arrived to Venezuela.

Br. Joseph Tuan finally arrived from Vietnam....

On the 3rd December the gifts arrived to Bangladesh, Utrail.

In front of the Christmas crib i give thanks to the Father
for sending HIS BEST GIFT - his SON, JESUS CHRIST in our poverty,
for our salvation.

In front of the Christmas crib i ask Jesus to wake up some more
young Salesians to follow Jesus in his obedience to contribute
to spreading of Jesus gift to many youth, who never met HIM!
