Today we have finished the two months long marathon meetings of the General Council.
Every can get on the ANS news of today (July 27) the Good night talk of the Rector Major
where he give his account of the work done: new provincials, visitation reports study, preparing the next General chapter 27, study of economy and structures etc. BUT probably many of these
issues will be forgotten, the main highlight of 2012 will be the YEAR of FAITH!

Follow up:

There are many events, there is Synod of the Bishops, there are anniversaries of Vatican II
celebrated around.

Probably the main point is to deepen our experience of HOW is the FAITH growing now?

We know, that:

FAITH is growing, when is shared, proclaimed with others.
FAITH is growing through the faith profession
FAITH is growing through the prayer
FAITH is growing through listening to the Word of GOD
FAITH is growing through sincere celebration - Eucharist, Sacraments,
FAITH is growing through personal surrounding, entrustment to God.
FAITH is growing through the works of faith - charity and service.

I am grateful to all African Salesians who contributed to the Salesian Mission Day
2013 materials about JOURNEY OF FAITH in Africa.

I am grateful to all FMA sisters from Korea who came to visit our house yesterday
and surprised all with their cheerful voices and witnesses for their short visit time.

I am grateful to all who handed over to me the Faith in God of Jesus Christ, in the Holy Spirit
through my whole life time - community of home parish, priests, Salesians, religious, friends
and all to whom i was sent to share my faith.

Year of faith will start officially in two months time.

Good Lord, make us believe, make grow our faith!
